Career.zycto is actively seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Full-Time Driver to join our growing team in Kiambu, Kiambu County. This pivotal role involves ensuring the safe, timely, and efficient transportation of goods, personnel, and documents to various destinations within Kiambu, Nairobi, and surrounding areas. We are looking for someone with an impeccable driving record, a strong work ethic, and a deep understanding of road safety regulations and local routes. You will be responsible for the daily inspection and routine maintenance checks of your assigned vehicle, accurate record-keeping of deliveries and mileage, and providing exceptional service to our clients and colleagues. Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently transport goods, documents, and personnel to designated locations as per schedule.
- Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness, cleanliness, and compliance with safety standards.
- Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, delivery logs, and vehicle maintenance activities.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, company driving policies, and safety regulations at all times.
- Assist with the loading and unloading of items as required, ensuring proper handling, security, and integrity of goods.
- Report any vehicle defects, malfunctions, accidents, or incidents promptly and comprehensively to management.
- Ensure timely delivery and pick-up of items, communicating any delays or issues proactively.
- Provide professional and courteous service to clients, colleagues, and the public.
Required Skills
- Valid Kenyan Class BCE driving license with a minimum of 3 years continuous experience.
- Impeccable driving record with no major traffic violations or accidents.
- Thorough knowledge of Kiambu, Nairobi, and surrounding metropolitan road networks.
- Excellent defensive driving skills and an unwavering commitment to road safety.
- Ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance checks and troubleshoot minor issues.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- High level of reliability, punctuality, and a strong sense of responsibility.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certificate in defensive driving or advanced driving courses.
- Experience with GPS navigation systems and route optimization tools.
