Key Responsibilities
- Conduct geological field investigations, including site reconnaissance, soil/rock core logging, and groundwater monitoring.
- Perform geological mapping and collect samples for laboratory analysis.
- Analyze geological data, interpret findings, and prepare comprehensive technical reports, proposals, and presentations.
- Utilize GIS software and other geological modeling tools for data visualization and analysis.
- Ensure project compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams (engineers, environmental scientists) on complex projects.
- Assist in project planning, scheduling, and budget tracking.
- Provide technical support and oversight during drilling and construction activities.
- Maintain accurate and organized project documentation and field notes.
- Stay abreast of new geological techniques, technologies, and industry best practices.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Geology, Earth Science, or a closely related field.
- 3+ years of professional experience in geological consulting, environmental science, or a related industry.
- Proficiency in geological field methods and sampling techniques.
- Strong understanding of soil mechanics, hydrogeology, and environmental geology.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical reporting and client interaction.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to various project sites.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
