Key Responsibilities
- Develop high-quality 2D and 3D character animations, motion graphics, and visual effects for various projects.
- Collaborate with creative directors, designers, and other team members to understand project requirements and translate storyboards into animated sequences.
- Ensure all animations adhere to project specifications, artistic vision, brand guidelines, and technical constraints.
- Iterate on animation based on feedback from stakeholders, maintaining flexibility and a proactive approach to revisions.
- Manage and organize animation assets, ensuring efficient workflows and proper project file hygiene.
- Stay updated with the latest animation techniques, software, and industry trends to continuously improve our output and explore new possibilities.
- Assist in conceptualizing and pitching new animation ideas to enhance project creativity and visual impact.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in industry-standard animation software (e.g., Adobe After Effects, Toon Boom Harmony, Maya, Blender, Cinema 4D).
- Strong portfolio showcasing diverse animation styles, projects, and a clear understanding of animation principles.
- Excellent understanding of animation principles (timing, spacing, anticipation, squash & stretch, etc.) for compelling motion.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team setting, managing time and tasks effectively.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously without compromising quality.
- Solid grasp of visual storytelling, character performance, and conveying emotion through animation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Animation, Fine Arts, Digital Media, or a related creative field.
- Experience with rigging and character setup for 2D or 3D models.
- Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, MEL) for animation tools to enhance workflow efficiency.
- Experience with real-time animation engines (e.g., Unity, Unreal Engine) for interactive projects.
