Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments, including diagnostic interviews and psychometric testing, to formulate accurate diagnoses and treatment plans.
- Provide evidence-based psychotherapy to individuals, couples, and families for a wide range of mental health concerns.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to client needs and goals.
- Maintain thorough and confidential client records in accordance with professional and ethical guidelines.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated and holistic client care.
- Participate in case consultations, team meetings, and supervision as required.
- Stay abreast of current research and best practices in psychology and mental health.
- Contribute to program development and quality improvement initiatives within the clinic.
Required Skills
- Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in Clinical Psychology from an accredited university.
- Registered in good standing with the College of Psychologists of Ontario (CPO).
- Minimum of 3 years of supervised post-doctoral experience in clinical practice.
- Proficiency in administering and interpreting psychological assessment tools.
- Extensive experience with various evidence-based therapeutic modalities (e.g., CBT, DBT, ACT, psychodynamic).
- Strong diagnostic, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
- Commitment to ethical practice and professional boundaries.
Preferred Qualifications
- Specialized training or certification in specific therapeutic areas (e.g., trauma-informed therapy, couples therapy).
- Experience working in a multidisciplinary team setting.
- Proficiency in a second language relevant to the Stoney Creek community.
- Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Research experience or contributions to the field of psychology.
