Job Description

Career.zycto is seeking an exceptionally talented and visionary Quantum Computing Researcher to join our dynamic R&D team in Guelph, Ontario. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct independent and collaborative research in quantum computing, including quantum algorithms, quantum error correction, quantum simulation, and quantum cryptography.
  • Develop and implement theoretical models and algorithms for various quantum computing paradigms.
  • Perform simulations of quantum systems and algorithms using classical computational tools.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicists, computer scientists, and engineers, to bridge the gap between theoretical concepts and practical implementations.
  • Publish research findings in top-tier scientific journals and present at international conferences.
  • Contribute to the intellectual property portfolio of Career.zycto through patent disclosures and innovative solutions.
  • Stay abreast of the latest developments in quantum computing hardware and software, integrating new knowledge into ongoing research projects.
  • Mentor junior researchers and contribute to a vibrant, intellectually stimulating research culture.

Required Skills

  • Ph.D. in Physics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field with a specialization in Quantum Information Science.
  • Demonstrated expertise in quantum mechanics, quantum information theory, and quantum computing paradigms.
  • Proficiency in quantum programming languages/SDKs (e.g., Qiskit, Cirq, PennyLane) and classical programming languages (Python, C++).
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills, with a proven ability to solve complex problems.
  • Experience with scientific computing libraries (e.g., NumPy, SciPy) and simulation tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a track record of publications and presentations.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced research environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Post-doctoral research experience in quantum computing or a closely related field.
  • Experience with specific quantum computing hardware platforms (e.g., superconducting qubits, trapped ions, photonic systems).
