Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and monitor domestic and international freight shipments, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Communicate effectively with carriers, customers, and vendors to resolve issues and provide shipment updates.
  • Prepare and process all necessary shipping documentation, including bills of lading, customs forms, and invoices.
  • Track and trace shipments, proactively identifying potential delays and implementing solutions.
  • Maintain accurate records of all freight activities in the company's transportation management system (TMS).
  • Assist in negotiating rates with carriers and optimizing routing to enhance efficiency.
  • Collaborate with sales and operations teams to meet client expectations and service level agreements.
  • Learn and adhere to all relevant transportation regulations and company policies.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the logistics department.

Required Skills

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications
