Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and monitor domestic and international freight shipments, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Communicate effectively with carriers, customers, and vendors to resolve issues and provide shipment updates.
- Prepare and process all necessary shipping documentation, including bills of lading, customs forms, and invoices.
- Track and trace shipments, proactively identifying potential delays and implementing solutions.
- Maintain accurate records of all freight activities in the company's transportation management system (TMS).
- Assist in negotiating rates with carriers and optimizing routing to enhance efficiency.
- Collaborate with sales and operations teams to meet client expectations and service level agreements.
- Learn and adhere to all relevant transportation regulations and company policies.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the logistics department.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
