Key Responsibilities
- Consult with clients to understand their travel needs, preferences, and budget.
- Research, recommend, and book various travel components including flights, accommodations, car rentals, cruises, tours, and activities.
- Develop customized travel itineraries that meet client expectations and provide exceptional value.
- Provide expert advice on destinations, travel insurance, visa requirements, health precautions, and local customs.
- Process bookings, cancellations, and modifications efficiently using travel reservation systems.
- Handle all aspects of client communication before, during, and after travel, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience.
- Stay informed about current travel advisories, industry trends, and new travel products.
- Resolve any travel-related issues or emergencies promptly and professionally.
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions and bookings.
- Proactively identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling travel services.
Required Skills
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Travel Consultant or similar role.
- Proven proficiency in using Global Distribution Systems (GDS) such as Amadeus, Sabre, or Galileo, or other major travel booking platforms.
- Exceptional knowledge of domestic and international travel destinations, including popular attractions and cultural nuances.
- Strong sales and customer service skills with a client-centric approach.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines in a remote environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- High-speed internet access and a dedicated home office setup.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Travel and Tourism, Hospitality, or a related field.
- Certification from a recognized travel industry organization (e.g., CTA, CTC).
- Experience with niche travel markets (e.g., luxury travel, adventure travel, group travel).
