Job Description
Are you an experienced Azure Cloud Engineer looking for a challenging remote opportunity to leverage your expertise in a dynamic, forward-thinking environment? Career.zycto is seeking a talented individual to join our distributed team, focusing on designing, implementing, and maintaining robust cloud solutions on the Microsoft Azure platform. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from your preferred location while collaborating with a high-performing team.
In this role, you will be instrumental in evolving our cloud infrastructure, ensuring it is secure, scalable, and highly available. You will work closely with development, operations, and security teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions, driving automation and efficiency across our cloud footprint. We are looking for someone who is not only proficient in a wide range of Azure services but also possesses a strong problem-solving mindset and a passion for continuous learning.
You will be responsible for the entire lifecycle of our Azure infrastructure, from initial architecture and provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to ongoing monitoring, optimization, and incident response. Your day-to-day will involve designing network topologies, managing virtual machines and containers, implementing robust security controls, and automating deployment pipelines. Success in this position requires a blend of technical depth, strategic thinking, and excellent communication skills, as you’ll be a key contributor to our technical direction.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure.
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates.
- Automate deployment, configuration, and operational tasks using PowerShell, Azure CLI, or Python.
- Collaborate with development teams to integrate CI/CD pipelines and ensure seamless application deployment.
- Monitor Azure environments for performance, cost optimization, and security compliance, responding to incidents as needed.
- Implement and enforce cloud security best practices, including identity and access management (IAM), network security, and data protection.
- Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and support to internal teams on Azure-related solutions and challenges.
- Stay current with emerging Azure services, features, and industry trends, recommending appropriate adoption strategies.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of hands-on experience as an Azure Cloud Engineer or similar role.
- Extensive experience with core Azure services (IaaS, PaaS, Networking, Security, Storage).
- Proficiency in scripting and automation with PowerShell, Azure CLI, and/or Python.
- Demonstrable experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or ARM templates.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD principles and experience with Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
- In-depth knowledge of networking concepts (VNETs, VPNs, ExpressRoute, DNS, Load Balancers, Firewalls).
- Solid understanding of cloud security principles and identity management (Azure Active Directory).
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools like Azure Monitor, Log Analytics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills in a remote work environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or similar certifications.
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes (AKS).
- Familiarity with database solutions in Azure (e.g., Azure SQL Database, Cosmos DB).
- Experience with serverless technologies like Azure Functions or Logic Apps.
- Prior experience working in a fully remote or hybrid team setting.
