An entry-level Manufacturing Engineer is a critical foundational role within any robust production environment. As a Manufacturing Engineer – Entry Level, you will work closely with experienced engineers and cross-functional teams, including production, quality assurance, and design. Your primary focus will be to support the continuous improvement initiatives that drive our operational excellence. You’ll assist in analyzing current manufacturing methods, identifying bottlenecks, and proposing innovative solutions that enhance productivity, reduce waste, and improve product reliability. You will be involved in various aspects of the manufacturing lifecycle, from initial concept development support to final product assembly and testing. This includes assisting with the design and implementation of new tooling, fixtures, and equipment, as well as developing and updating standard operating procedures (SOPs). Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior engineers in analyzing current manufacturing processes and identifying areas for improvement.
- Support the development and implementation of new manufacturing methods, tooling, and equipment.
- Participate in root cause analysis for production issues and contribute to corrective action plans.
- Help create and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
- Collect and analyze production data to monitor performance metrics and identify trends.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (production, quality, design) to ensure seamless process integration.
- Contribute to continuous improvement projects using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Inventor).
- Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and principles.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Preferred Qualifications
- Internship or co-op experience in a manufacturing environment.
