Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage all aspects of freight logistics, including booking, scheduling, and tracking shipments across air, sea, and road.
- Develop and implement efficient logistics plans to optimize routes, reduce costs, and ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Liaise effectively with clients, carriers, customs brokers, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth operations and resolve issues.
- Prepare and process all necessary shipping documentation, including bills of lading, customs declarations, and commercial invoices, ensuring compliance with international and local regulations.
- Negotiate rates and services with freight forwarders, shipping lines, airlines, and transporters to secure the best possible terms.
- Provide real-time updates on shipment status to clients and internal teams, proactively communicating any potential delays or changes.
- Monitor and analyze operational performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
- Manage and maintain accurate records of all freight movements, costs, and customer interactions.
- Ensure adherence to all safety standards, quality control procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Act as a primary point of contact for all freight-related inquiries and problem-solving.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or supply chain coordination.
- Strong understanding of international shipping regulations, customs procedures, and Incoterms.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and work under pressure.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to challenges.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
