Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or physician.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by a physician.
  • Monitor, record, and report changes in patient conditions.
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs).
  • Perform wound care, vital signs, and other basic nursing procedures.
  • Educate patients and their families on health maintenance and disease prevention.
  • Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Adhere to all facility policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.

Required Skills

  • Valid and active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of Maryland.
  • Graduate of an accredited LPN program.
  • Strong foundational knowledge of nursing principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
  • Basic computer proficiency for electronic health records (EHR).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Previous clinical experience gained through nursing school rotations or externships.
  • Familiarity with common Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems.
