You will be responsible for planning and implementing age-appropriate programs that encourage social, emotional, physical, and intellectual growth. Maintaining open and clear communication with parents/guardians, observing and documenting children’s progress, and ensuring a healthy and hygienic environment are also key aspects of this role.

Key Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and implement programs for children aged 0-12 years, ensuring age-appropriateness and developmental benefits.
- Supervise and care for children in a safe and stimulating environment, both indoors and outdoors.
- Observe children's behaviour and health, documenting any concerns or progress.
- Engage children in activities that promote their physical, intellectual, emotional, and social development.
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe environment for children.
- Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding their child's daily activities, progress, and any concerns.
- Assist children with personal hygiene, eating, and resting routines.
- Administer first aid in emergencies and maintain accurate records of incidents.
- Collaborate with other childcare professionals to ensure a cohesive and supportive team environment.
Required Skills
- Proven experience working with children in a childcare setting (minimum 1 year).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for working with children.
- Ability to plan and execute engaging educational and recreational activities.
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
Preferred Qualifications
- Early Childhood Education (ECE) diploma or equivalent certification.
- Knowledge of child development theories and best practices.
- Experience with diverse age groups and special needs children.
- Proficiency in additional languages (e.g., Punjabi, Hindi, Urdu) relevant to the Snelgrove, Brampton community.
