Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage local projects and initiatives within the Forest Heights area, ensuring alignment with Career.zycto's objectives.
  • Recruit, train, and oversee a team of student volunteers and local ambassadors, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
  • Develop and implement effective outreach strategies to engage the student community and promote Career.zycto's programs.
  • Monitor project progress, analyze performance data, and prepare regular reports for senior management.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with local educational institutions, community organizations, and key stakeholders.
  • Manage allocated budgets for area-specific activities and ensure responsible resource utilization.
  • Address challenges and provide support to your team, fostering a positive and productive work atmosphere.
  • Represent Career.zycto at local events, career fairs, and networking opportunities.

Required Skills

  • Currently enrolled in a post-secondary institution (university or college).
  • Proven leadership experience in academic, extracurricular, or volunteer settings (e.g., club president, team lead).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities, capable of balancing multiple priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate and manage small teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Proactive problem-solver with a strong sense of initiative.
  • Legally eligible to work in Canada.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in project coordination, event planning, or community engagement.
  • Familiarity with the Forest Heights, Kitchener community and local student demographics.
  • Experience with social media management and digital outreach strategies.
  • A valid G driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle (asset, not mandatory).
