Job Description
Are you a visionary photographer with a flair for conceptualizing and executing stunning creative shoots? Photoshots Kenya is seeking an exceptionally talented and imaginative Creative Shoot Photographer to join our thriving team in Adams Arcade, Nairobi. You will be instrumental in leading a variety of creative projects, from fashion editorials and product launches to conceptual art pieces and brand campaigns. Your day-to-day will involve close collaboration with clients and our creative team to understand project briefs, scout locations, manage props, direct talent, and ultimately capture breathtaking images that exceed expectations. We are looking for someone who is not afraid to experiment, think outside the box, and consistently deliver innovative, high-impact photography. This role demands a keen eye for detail, a deep understanding of lighting and composition, and proficiency in post-production. Key Responsibilities
- Conceptualize, plan, and execute creative photography shoots from start to finish, aligned with client briefs and artistic vision.
- Collaborate closely with clients, models, stylists, and the internal creative team to ensure smooth shoot execution.
- Scout and secure suitable locations, props, and equipment for various photography projects.
- Set up and manage lighting, backdrops, and other technical equipment to achieve desired visual effects.
- Direct models and subjects effectively to capture dynamic and expressive poses.
- Perform high-quality post-production editing, including retouching, color correction, and image manipulation, using industry-standard software.
- Maintain and organize photography equipment, ensuring it is always in excellent working condition.
- Manage digital assets, including file storage, backups, and metadata tagging.
- Stay updated with the latest photography trends, techniques, and equipment.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of our studio's creative output and operational efficiency.
Required Skills
- Proven expertise in various photography styles, with a strong portfolio showcasing creative shoot work.
- Exceptional proficiency in operating professional DSLR/mirrorless cameras and lenses.
- Advanced understanding of lighting techniques (natural, artificial, studio strobes) and modifiers.
- Expertise in Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, and other relevant photo editing software.
- Strong conceptual and artistic vision with the ability to translate ideas into stunning visuals.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client and team collaboration.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications
