Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive financial analysis of client applications and existing portfolios.
- Assess credit risk using various financial models, tools, and qualitative factors.
- Prepare detailed credit reports, summaries, and recommendations for management approval.
- Monitor existing credit accounts and identify potential risks, trends, or opportunities.
- Ensure strict compliance with internal credit policies, procedures, and relevant regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate effectively with sales and relationship managers to structure appropriate credit solutions that meet client needs.
- Stay updated on industry trends, economic conditions, and changes in financial regulations that may impact credit risk.
- Communicate clear and concise credit decisions and rationale to internal and external stakeholders, fostering transparency.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of credit assessment methodologies and processes.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a closely related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in credit analysis, financial analysis, or a similar role.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with a solid understanding of financial statements.
- Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis software, including advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret complex financial data and draw sound conclusions.
- Legally authorized to work in Canada or eligible to obtain the necessary work permits.
- High level of attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
