Job Description

Are you an enthusiastic, customer-focused individual with a knack for crafting the perfect drink and delivering outstanding service? Hotel Football, Old Trafford, is seeking vibrant and dedicated Bar Staff to join our dynamic team on a flexible, part-time basis, primarily for evening shifts. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for providing an exceptional bar experience for our diverse range of guests, from hotel residents and event attendees to fervent match-day supporters. Your role will involve everything from expertly mixing cocktails and pouring the perfect pint to handling cash and maintaining a clean, well-stocked bar area. Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve a wide range of beverages, including alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, coffees, and cocktails, in accordance with Hotel Football standards.
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and well-stocked bar area, ensuring all equipment is spotless and functional.
  • Process customer orders and payments accurately using our POS system, handling cash and card transactions.
  • Engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner, anticipating their needs and providing recommendations.
  • Ensure compliance with all licensing laws, health and safety regulations, and responsible alcohol service policies.
  • Assist with stock management, including receiving deliveries, rotating stock, and conducting inventory checks.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure smooth service delivery and a positive guest experience.
  • Address guest queries and resolve any service issues promptly and efficiently, escalating as necessary.
  • Adhere to opening and closing procedures for the bar, ensuring readiness for service and proper securement.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience working in a busy bar or hospitality environment (minimum 6 months).
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently and calmly under pressure in a fast-paced setting.
  • Strong knowledge of various beverages, including spirits, wines, beers, and basic cocktails.
  • Proficiency in handling cash and card transactions accurately.
  • A positive, enthusiastic, and flexible approach to work, including evening and weekend shifts.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with EPOS systems.
  • Relevant hospitality or bartending qualifications (e.g., BIIAB, Personal Licence Holder).
  • Knowledge of local health and safety regulations pertinent to food and beverage service.
  • Fluency in additional languages.
