Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and manage a comprehensive volunteer program strategy aligned with organizational goals.
- Recruit, interview, screen, and onboard new volunteers, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience.
- Organize and deliver engaging orientation and training sessions for all volunteers, covering policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Match volunteers with appropriate roles based on their skills, interests, and availability, and organizational needs.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date volunteer records, including hours, contact information, and training completion.
- Develop and implement recognition programs to acknowledge and appreciate volunteer contributions.
- Provide ongoing support, supervision, and mentorship to volunteers, addressing any concerns or challenges.
- Collaborate with internal teams to identify volunteer needs and create meaningful volunteer opportunities.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of volunteer programs, preparing regular reports and making recommendations for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, and legal requirements related to volunteer management.
- Promote a positive and inclusive volunteer culture that values diversity and fosters a sense of belonging.
- Assist with special events and projects as required, often involving volunteer coordination.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in volunteer management or a related coordination role.
- Demonstrated experience in recruiting, training, and retaining volunteers.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication (written and verbal), and presentation skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and volunteer management software.
