Key Responsibilities
- Perform physical labor at construction sites, including excavation, demolition, and material handling.
- Operate and maintain a variety of construction tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Assist skilled tradespeople (e.g., carpenters, electricians, masons, plumbers) as required on various tasks.
- Load and unload construction materials, ensuring proper storage and site organization.
- Prepare construction sites by cleaning debris, digging trenches, erecting temporary structures, and ensuring safety barriers are in place.
- Adhere strictly to all safety procedures, regulations, and company policies on site.
- Read and interpret basic blueprints, drawings, and specifications as needed to complete tasks.
- Work collaboratively with the construction team and project managers to ensure timely project completion within budget.
- Transport various construction materials, tools, and equipment to designated work areas.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment at all times.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Construction Worker or in a similar physical labor role.
- Ability to perform strenuous physical tasks, including lifting heavy objects (up to 50 lbs), bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
- Familiarity with common construction tools and equipment (e.g., power tools, hand tools, measuring devices).
- Solid understanding of construction site safety guidelines and practices (e.g., PPE, fall protection, hazard identification).
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and a commitment to quality workmanship.
- Basic proficiency in English for effective communication, understanding instructions, and safety briefings.
