Key Responsibilities

  • Administer medications safely and accurately as prescribed by physicians.
  • Monitor, record, and report changes in patient symptoms or behavior.
  • Assist patients with basic needs such as dressing, eating, and hygiene.
  • Perform wound care, dressing changes, and other medical procedures as ordered.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including vital signs, treatments, and observations.
  • Collaborate with Registered Nurses and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Educate patients and their families on health conditions, medications, and self-care techniques.
  • Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations, safety standards, and facility policies.
  • Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families.
  • Prepare patients for examinations and treatments.

Required Skills

  • Current and unrestricted LPN license in Massachusetts.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
  • Proficiency in administering medications and performing basic nursing procedures.
  • Strong observational and assessment skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Compassionate and patient-focused approach to care.
  • Basic computer proficiency for electronic health records.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in an acute care or long-term care setting.
