Key Responsibilities
- Administer medications safely and accurately as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor, record, and report changes in patient symptoms or behavior.
- Assist patients with basic needs such as dressing, eating, and hygiene.
- Perform wound care, dressing changes, and other medical procedures as ordered.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including vital signs, treatments, and observations.
- Collaborate with Registered Nurses and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Educate patients and their families on health conditions, medications, and self-care techniques.
- Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations, safety standards, and facility policies.
- Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families.
- Prepare patients for examinations and treatments.
Required Skills
- Current and unrestricted LPN license in Massachusetts.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
- Proficiency in administering medications and performing basic nursing procedures.
- Strong observational and assessment skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
