Job Description

We are actively seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Radiologic Technologist to join our dynamic Imaging team in Medford, MA. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform various diagnostic imaging procedures, including X-rays, fluoroscopy, and potentially CT scans, following established protocols.
  • Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout all imaging procedures, explaining processes clearly and addressing concerns.
  • Accurately position patients for optimal image quality and minimal radiation exposure.
  • Operate and maintain imaging equipment, ensuring proper functionality and troubleshooting minor issues.
  • Review images for diagnostic quality, ensuring all required anatomical structures are present and clearly visualized.
  • Maintain accurate patient records, documenting procedures, and ensuring timely transmission of images.
  • Adhere strictly to radiation safety protocols (ALARA principle) for patients and staff.
  • Collaborate effectively with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members.
  • Assist with patient transportation and transfer as needed.
  • Participate in quality assurance activities and ongoing professional development.

Required Skills

  • ARDMS/ARRT certification (or equivalent) in Radiography.
  • Current state licensure as a Radiologic Technologist in Massachusetts.
  • Strong knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and pathology.
  • Proficiency in operating various diagnostic imaging equipment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient-first approach.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Commitment to patient safety and adherence to HIPAA regulations.
  • Basic computer proficiency for electronic health records and image management systems.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology.
  • Experience with advanced imaging modalities (e.g., CT, MRI) is a plus.
  • Previous experience in an outpatient clinic or hospital setting.
  • CPR and/or BLS certification.
