Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the end-to-end recruitment process, including posting job advertisements, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and communicating with candidates.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, both physical and digital, ensuring compliance with data protection regulations.
  • Support the onboarding and offboarding processes, including preparing new hire paperwork, conducting orientation sessions, and processing exit interviews.
  • Respond to routine employee inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and benefits, escalating complex issues to senior HR staff as needed.
  • Prepare HR-related documents, such as employment contracts, offer letters, performance review forms, and HR reports.
  • Assist in the administration of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, leave management, and payroll coordination.
  • Organize and coordinate HR projects, training sessions, company events, and team-building activities.
  • Provide general administrative support to the HR department, including scheduling meetings, managing correspondence, and filing.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a professional and approachable demeanor.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in all work.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain strict confidentiality and exercise discretion.
  • Basic understanding of Kenyan labor laws and HR best practices.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A professional HR certification (e.g., CHRP – Kenya) or progress towards one.
  • Prior experience with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS).
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to work.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
