Job Description

Career.zycto is urgently seeking a dedicated Night Auditor to join a prestigious hotel partner in the vibrant Blackheath area of London. This critical full-time role ensures the smooth operation of hotel services during the overnight hours, serving as the primary point of contact for guests while managing essential financial reconciliations and reporting. You will be instrumental in creating a secure, comfortable, and welcoming environment for our guests, handling late arrivals, early departures, and all guest inquiries with grace and efficiency. Beyond front-desk duties, the Night Auditor performs vital accounting tasks, audits daily transactions, balances ledgers, and prepares reports for management, playing a pivotal role in the hotel’s financial integrity. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform nightly audit functions, including balancing all accounts, reconciling cash, credit card, and direct billing transactions.
  • Process guest check-ins and check-outs efficiently and accurately during the night shift.
  • Handle all guest inquiries, requests, and complaints promptly and professionally, ensuring guest satisfaction.
  • Prepare and distribute daily reports for management, including occupancy, revenue, and audit reports.
  • Maintain security of the hotel premises and guest confidentiality throughout the night.
  • Respond to emergency situations, acting as the primary point of contact for staff and guests.
  • Assist with setting up breakfast or other morning duties as required.
  • Monitor and manage switchboard, wake-up calls, and reservations.
  • Ensure compliance with all hotel policies, procedures, and safety standards.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a Night Auditor or Front Desk Agent in a hotel environment.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and hotel property management systems (PMS).
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions during unsupervised hours.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).
  • A calm and professional demeanor, especially during high-pressure situations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Opera PMS or similar industry-standard software.
  • First Aid and Fire Safety certification.
  • Fluency in an additional language.
  • A degree or diploma in Hospitality Management.
