Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, equipment, and components in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams to determine wiring layouts and installation specifications.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical malfunctions using appropriate testing devices.
- Perform preventative maintenance on electrical systems to ensure optimal functionality and safety.
- Lead and mentor apprentice electricians, providing guidance and ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Adhere strictly to local, state, and national electrical codes (e.g., NEC) and safety regulations.
- Ensure all work sites are kept clean, organized, and safe for all personnel.
- Communicate effectively with clients, team members, and supervisors regarding project status and technical details.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on projects.
Required Skills
- Valid Journeyman Electrician license for the State of Michigan.
- In-depth knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local electrical codes.
- Proficiency in installing, troubleshooting, and repairing various electrical systems (e.g., wiring, conduit, panels, lighting).
- Strong understanding of electrical safety procedures and best practices.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
