Key Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility assistance.
  • Assist with medication reminders and administration as per care plans.
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals, assisting with feeding if necessary.
  • Perform light housekeeping duties relevant to the client's immediate living space.
  • Provide companionship and engage clients in stimulating activities.
  • Monitor and report changes in client health, behaviour, or well-being to appropriate staff.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care provided.
  • Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations and care policies.
  • Assist with errands and appointments as required.
  • Support clients with safe transfers and ambulation.

Required Skills

  • Demonstrable experience in caregiving (minimum 1 year).
  • Genuine compassion, empathy, and patience.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong observational and reporting skills.
  • Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion and professionalism.
  • Basic understanding of health and safety principles.

Preferred Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent).
  • First Aid and CPR certification.
