Key Responsibilities
- Assist kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks, including washing, peeling, chopping, and portioning ingredients.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils throughout the day.
- Support the culinary team in setting up and breaking down catering event equipment and supplies.
- Load and unload delivery vehicles, ensuring proper handling and storage of food items and supplies.
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines strictly to ensure a hygienic kitchen environment.
- Wash and sanitize dishes, pots, pans, and kitchen tools using manual and mechanical methods.
- Help with inventory management by receiving and stocking supplies, reporting any shortages or damaged goods.
- Assist in waste disposal and recycling efforts according to company procedures.
- Perform general cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, and wiping down surfaces.
- Work collaboratively with all team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations and successful event delivery.
Required Skills
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Basic understanding of kitchen hygiene (training provided).
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
