Key Responsibilities
- Monitor network security systems and alerts, escalating suspicious activities to senior engineers.
- Assist in troubleshooting network connectivity and performance issues, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Support the implementation and maintenance of network security controls, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and VPNs.
- Perform routine network device configurations and updates under supervision.
- Participate in vulnerability assessments and penetration testing efforts, documenting findings.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of network security documentation and procedures.
- Respond to and assist in resolving security incidents, following established protocols.
- Collaborate with IT and other teams to ensure a secure and efficient network infrastructure.
- Stay informed about the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies.
Required Skills
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching).
