Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor network security systems and alerts, escalating suspicious activities to senior engineers.
  • Assist in troubleshooting network connectivity and performance issues, ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of network security controls, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and VPNs.
  • Perform routine network device configurations and updates under supervision.
  • Participate in vulnerability assessments and penetration testing efforts, documenting findings.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of network security documentation and procedures.
  • Respond to and assist in resolving security incidents, following established protocols.
  • Collaborate with IT and other teams to ensure a secure and efficient network infrastructure.
  • Stay informed about the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies.

Required Skills

  • Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching).
  • Familiarity with common operating systems (Windows, Linux).
