Career.zycto is seeking a dedicated and reliable Warehouse Cold Storage Worker to join our vital night shift team in Nutana, Saskatoon. Key Responsibilities
- Receive, store, and dispatch goods within a cold storage environment (temperatures typically ranging from 0°C to -25°C).
- Safely and efficiently operate material handling equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and reach trucks (certification preferred, but training provided).
- Accurately pick and pack orders according to shipping manifests and quality standards.
- Perform regular inventory counts and assist with stock rotation to minimize waste and ensure product freshness.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper securing of goods to prevent damage during transit.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering strictly to all health and safety regulations.
- Report any equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or inventory discrepancies to supervisors.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to meet daily operational goals.
- Assist with other general warehouse duties as required.
Required Skills
- Ability to work consistently during night shifts (e.g., 10 PM – 6 AM).
- Comfortable working in cold storage environments for extended periods.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand/walk for long durations.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order picking and inventory management.
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills for reading manifests and performing counts.
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to all protocols.
- Reliable transportation to and from our Nutana, Saskatoon facility for night shifts.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience (6+ months) in a warehouse, logistics, or cold storage setting.
- Forklift, pallet jack, or reach truck certification and experience.
- Knowledge of inventory management systems or RF scanning devices.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
