Career.zycto is actively seeking experienced and dedicated Journeyman Plumbers to join our expanding network of skilled trades professionals in the vibrant Mill Woods area of Edmonton, Alberta. Key Responsibilities

  • Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems and fixtures in residential, commercial, and industrial structures.
  • Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine layout of plumbing systems, water supply networks, and waste and drainage systems.
  • Locate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes, and fixtures in walls and floors.
  • Measure, cut, bend, and thread pipes using hand and power tools or machines.
  • Join pipes using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, or soldering, brazing, and welding equipment.
  • Test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges.
  • Repair and replace worn out or defective plumbing parts and fixtures.
  • Install and maintain water treatment equipment, water heaters, and other appliances.
  • Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, Canadian building codes, and industry regulations.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and clear communication on project status and solutions.

Required Skills

  • Journeyman Plumber certification/licence or equivalent recognized international credential.
  • Minimum of 4 years of post-apprenticeship plumbing experience.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and plumbing codes.
  • Strong knowledge of residential and commercial plumbing systems.
  • Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with gas fitting or cross-connection control.
  • Familiarity with Alberta Building Codes and safety regulations.
  • Experience with modern plumbing technologies and sustainable practices.
  • First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Bilingualism (English and other languages relevant to the local community).
