Key Responsibilities
- Design, analyze, and optimize mechanical components and systems using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Inventor).
- Conduct simulations and analyses (e.g., FEA, CFD) to validate designs and predict performance under various conditions.
- Develop detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and documentation for manufacturing and assembly.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, project managers, and production staff.
- Perform root cause analysis for mechanical failures and implement corrective actions.
- Participate in the testing and validation of prototypes and finished products.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, codes, and safety regulations.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities for process and product enhancements.
- Manage project timelines and budgets, ensuring deliverables are met efficiently.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience with 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Inventor, CATIA, Creo).
- Strong understanding of mechanical principles, material science, and manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency in FEA and/or CFD simulation tools.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation or eligibility to register with APEGA.

- Experience with DFM (Design for Manufacturability) and DFA (Design for Assembly) principles.
