Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct academic and social-emotional support to students with diverse special educational needs under the guidance of a classroom teacher.
- Assist in the implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and behavior management plans.
- Facilitate small group activities and one-on-one sessions, adapting teaching methods and materials to meet specific student requirements.
- Monitor student progress, record observations, and communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and other support staff.
- Help create and maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
- Support students during transitions, break times, and extra-curricular activities as needed.
- Assist with personal care needs for students when required, always maintaining dignity and respect.

Preferred Qualifications
- Associate’s degree or higher in Education, Child Development, Psychology, or related field
- Previous experience working with youth in an educational or care setting, particularly with SEN
- Certification in First Aid and CPR
- Training in behavior intervention strategies (e.g., CPI, PBIS)
