Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of designated areas, both on foot and via vehicle, to deter and detect signs of intrusion or unauthorized activity.
- Monitor surveillance cameras and alarm systems, responding promptly and appropriately to any alerts or suspicious observations.
- Control access to the premises, verifying identification, issuing visitor passes, and maintaining accurate logs of all persons entering and exiting.
- Enforce company policies and procedures related to security, safety, and property regulations.
- Respond to emergencies such as medical incidents, fires, or security breaches, following established protocols to ensure the safety of personnel and property.
- Prepare detailed and accurate incident reports, documenting observations, actions taken, and any relevant information.
- Liaise effectively with law enforcement and emergency services when necessary.
- Provide excellent customer service to employees and visitors, assisting with inquiries while maintaining a professional security presence.
- Perform routine checks of doors, windows, and gates to ensure they are properly secured.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field.
- Valid Minnesota Security Guard License (or ability to obtain upon hire).
- Excellent observational and problem-solving skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to operate surveillance equipment and standard office software.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods, and respond to incidents.
- Reliable transportation to and from the Brooklyn Park location for weekend shifts.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Criminal Justice or a related field.
- First Aid, CPR, and AED certification.
- Prior experience in a corporate or industrial security setting.
