Career.zycto is actively seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Boilermaker to join our team, working with a premier industrial client located in the thriving Centerra area of Loveland, Colorado. This is an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned professional to apply their expertise in fabricating, assembling, installing, and repairing boilers, tanks, vessels, heat exchangers, and other heavy-metal structures in diverse industrial plant settings. The successful candidate will play a critical role in maintaining the integrity and operational efficiency of vital industrial infrastructure.

As a Boilermaker, you will be instrumental in ensuring the safe and reliable operation of complex systems. Your daily tasks will involve interpreting blueprints, meticulously cutting and shaping metal plates and pipes, and employing various advanced welding techniques to create durable, high-pressure equipment. Attention to detail, adherence to stringent safety protocols, and a commitment to quality craftsmanship are paramount in this role. Key Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine project specifications and layout.
  • Cut, form, and assemble metal plates, structural shapes, and pipes to fabricate or repair boilers, pressure vessels, tanks, and other industrial equipment.
  • Perform various welding techniques (SMAW, GTAW, FCAW, MIG) to join components, ensuring high-quality and leak-proof seams.
  • Inspect finished products and components for quality, adherence to specifications, and compliance with industry codes and standards.
  • Operate rigging and hoisting equipment to move heavy parts and assemblies into position.
  • Conduct hydro-testing, pneumatic testing, and other diagnostic tests to verify structural integrity and operational readiness.
  • Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning boiler components, including valves, pumps, tubes, and related fittings.
  • Adhere strictly to all safety regulations, company policies, and best practices to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and other tradespeople to complete projects efficiently and effectively.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 5 years of verifiable experience as a certified Boilermaker in industrial settings.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in multiple welding processes (SMAW, GTAW, FCAW, MIG).
  • Strong ability to read and interpret complex blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
  • Expertise in metal fabrication, including cutting, grinding, forming, and fitting.
  • Competency in operating various hand and power tools common to the trade.
  • Knowledge of rigging and safe hoisting procedures for heavy loads.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
  • Strong commitment to safety protocols and procedures.
  • Physical ability to perform demanding tasks, including lifting heavy objects, working in confined spaces, and at heights.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Journeyman Boilermaker certification or equivalent recognized credential.
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
  • Experience with non-destructive testing (NDT) methods.
  • Familiarity with various types of industrial boilers (e.g., water-tube, fire-tube) and pressure vessel codes (ASME).
  • Previous experience in power generation, chemical processing, or oil and gas industrial plants.
  • Ability to train and mentor less experienced team members.
