Career.zycto is actively seeking a highly motivated and reliable Van Driver to join our growing team in Downtown, Minneapolis. This is an immediate start full-time position for an individual committed to excellence in service and safe operation. As a core member of our logistics operation, you will be responsible for the timely and secure delivery of goods to various clients across the Minneapolis metropolitan area. Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a company-provided delivery van for extended periods, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Efficiently plan and execute daily delivery routes within Downtown Minneapolis and surrounding areas to meet strict deadlines.
- Accurately load, unload, and organize packages, ensuring secure transport and preventing damage.
- Perform mandatory pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, documenting and reporting any maintenance issues or concerns promptly.
- Maintain precise delivery logs, records, and manifest documentation, including obtaining necessary signatures and proof of delivery.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with dispatch, clients, and team members regarding delivery status, delays, or issues.
- Provide exceptional customer service during all interactions, acting as a courteous and professional representative of Career.zycto.
- Adhere strictly to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company safety standards.
- Assist with warehouse tasks such as sorting, labeling, or organizing packages when necessary to support logistics operations.
- Proactively problem-solve delivery challenges, such as unexpected traffic or access issues, to maintain schedule integrity.
- Ensure the cleanliness and proper working order of the delivery vehicle on a daily basis.
Required Skills
- Valid Minnesota Class D Driver's License.
- Clean driving record for at least 3 years (Motor Vehicle Record check required).
- Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 lbs regularly and safely.
- Excellent time management, organizational, and route planning skills.
- Strong geographical knowledge of Minneapolis and surrounding suburbs.
- Proficiency with GPS navigation devices and mapping applications.
- Basic understanding of vehicle safety and routine maintenance checks.
- Reliable, punctual, and possess a strong work ethic with minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Previous experience (1+ years) in courier, delivery, or logistics roles.
- Familiarity with route optimization software.
- Exceptional customer service and strong interpersonal communication skills.
