Key Responsibilities

  • Warmly welcome guests, process check-ins and check-outs efficiently, and manage reservation inquiries with professionalism.
  • Provide comprehensive information about hotel services, facilities, local attractions, dining options, and transportation in the Longfellow area.
  • Handle guest requests and complaints promptly and courteously, ensuring swift resolution and guest satisfaction.
  • Manage incoming calls, emails, and online inquiries, maintaining clear and concise communication.
  • Process payments, maintain accurate guest records, and perform daily reconciliation of transactions.
  • Collaborate with housekeeping, maintenance, and other departments to ensure seamless guest service and operational efficiency.
  • Uphold the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, and security at the front desk and lobby areas.
  • Anticipate guest needs and offer personalized recommendations and assistance.

Required Skills

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a customer service or hospitality role.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in using computer systems, including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • A genuine passion for hospitality and guest satisfaction.
  • High level of professionalism and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or related field.
  • Prior experience with hotel Property Management Systems (PMS) such as Opera, Cloudbeds, or similar.
  • Multilingual abilities are a plus.
  • Familiarity with the Longfellow, Minneapolis area and its attractions.
  • Experience in a boutique hotel setting.
