Job Description

Career.zycto is seeking a compassionate, energetic, and dedicated Day Shift Childcare Worker to join our team in Cap-de-la-Madeleine, Trois-Rivières. This full-time position focuses on weekday shifts, providing consistent care and educational support to children in our vibrant learning environment. As a key member of our childcare team, you will play a pivotal role in creating a safe, engaging, and inclusive space where children can explore, learn, and grow. Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and implement daily age-appropriate activities that promote physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development.
  • Supervise children during indoor and outdoor play, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
  • Assist children with personal care routines, including feeding, napping, and hygiene.
  • Observe and document children's progress, behaviors, and developmental milestones.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating learning environment.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with parents/guardians regarding their child's daily activities and progress.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create a cohesive and supportive team atmosphere.
  • Respond to emergencies and administer basic first aid as required.
  • Adhere to all licensing regulations, company policies, and safety standards.
  • Foster an inclusive environment that respects diverse backgrounds and learning styles.

Required Skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a licensed childcare setting.
  • Knowledge of Quebec's childcare regulations and educational frameworks.
  • Bilingualism (French and English) is an asset.
