Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior audio engineers with studio setup, breakdown, and equipment calibration.
- Operate and maintain recording equipment, microphones, consoles, and digital audio workstations (DAWs).
- Perform basic audio editing, mixing, and mastering tasks under supervision.
- Support sound design and post-production for various projects, including podcasts, voiceovers, and musical compositions.
- Ensure all audio files are properly organized, archived, and backed up.
- Troubleshoot minor technical issues with audio equipment and software.
- Maintain a clean and organized studio environment.
- Learn and adhere to studio safety protocols and best practices.
- Participate in creative brainstorming sessions and contribute ideas for audio projects.
Required Skills
- Fundamental knowledge of audio recording, mixing, and mastering principles.
- Proficiency with at least one major Digital Audio Workstation (e.g., Pro Tools, Logic Pro X, Ableton Live, Cubase).
- Basic understanding of acoustics and microphone techniques.
- Excellent active listening skills and a keen ear for detail.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive attitude.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively within a team environment.
- Basic understanding of signal flow and common audio hardware.
