Key Responsibilities
- Support pupils individually or in small groups under the direct supervision of the class teacher.
- Assist with the preparation of engaging learning materials, classroom displays, and resources.
- Help maintain a safe, tidy, and stimulating learning environment that promotes positive behaviour.
- Supervise children during lessons, break times, lunch, and school-organised activities or trips.
- Provide pastoral support, listening to and encouraging pupils, fostering their self-esteem and confidence.
- Assist the teacher with administrative tasks such as record-keeping, photocopying, and basic assessment support.
- Reinforce positive behaviour strategies and uphold school values and policies.
- Support pupils with special educational needs (SEN) or disabilities, adapting resources as required under teacher guidance.
- Promote independence and develop social skills among pupils.
Required Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths, grade C/4 or above.
- Previous experience (paid or voluntary) in a childcare, educational, or youth setting.
- Basic knowledge of the primary school curriculum (Key Stage 1 & 2).
- A valid First Aid qualification.
- Relevant Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3).
