Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain optimal inventory control procedures and systems.
- Monitor inventory levels and initiate replenishment orders to prevent stockouts and overstock situations.
- Conduct regular inventory counts (cycle counts, physical inventory) and reconcile discrepancies.
- Analyze inventory data, identify trends, and provide insights to improve forecasting accuracy and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with purchasing, production, and sales teams to optimize material flow and meet demand.
- Manage and resolve issues related to inventory accuracy, damage, and obsolescence.
- Implement and manage warehouse layout and organization for efficient storage and retrieval.
- Develop and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for inventory management.
- Lead and mentor a small team of inventory control specialists or warehouse staff.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, health, and environmental regulations.
- Utilize ERP/WMS systems for all inventory transactions and reporting.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as an Inventory Manager or similar role (minimum 4 years).
- Strong understanding of inventory management principles and best practices.
- Proficiency in inventory management software (e.g., ERP systems, WMS).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
