Job Description
Career.zycto is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Six Sigma Black Belt to champion process improvement initiatives within our dynamic organization in the vibrant Cotton District of Starkville. Key Responsibilities
- Lead complex Lean Six Sigma projects from definition through control phases, ensuring alignment with strategic business objectives.
- Utilize advanced statistical analysis techniques and tools (e.g., Minitab, JMP) to analyze data, identify root causes, and validate solutions.
- Develop and implement robust process improvements, monitoring their effectiveness and ensuring sustained gains.
- Mentor and coach Green Belts and other team members on Six Sigma methodologies, tools, and best practices.
- Facilitate workshops, training sessions, and continuous improvement events across various departments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to define project scope, gather requirements, and manage expectations.
- Prepare and present project progress, results, and recommendations to senior leadership and relevant stakeholders.
- Champion change management efforts to ensure successful adoption of new processes and cultural shifts towards continuous improvement.
- Identify new opportunities for process optimization and efficiency gains across the organization.
Required Skills
- Certified Six Sigma Black Belt (ASQ certification preferred)
- Minimum of 5 years of experience leading and completing Six Sigma projects
- Proficiency in statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab, JMP, R, Python for statistical modeling)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach
- Excellent project management and organizational skills
- Demonstrated ability to influence, communicate effectively, and facilitate change at all organizational levels
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective relationships and foster teamwork
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio)
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field
- Experience in diverse industries such as manufacturing, healthcare, technology, or financial services
- Knowledge of Lean principles and other continuous improvement methodologies
- Experience with process mapping and value stream mapping tools
