Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and other beverages following Career.zycto's recipes and quality standards.
- Operate espresso machines, grinders, and other café equipment with precision and care.
- Provide exceptional customer service, taking orders accurately, handling transactions efficiently, and building rapport with regular patrons.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including work surfaces, seating areas, and equipment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Assist with inventory management, restocking supplies, and informing management of low stock levels.
- Handle cash and card transactions using a point-of-sale (POS) system accurately and efficiently.
- Educate customers on menu items, coffee beans, and brewing methods to enhance their experience.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in a customer service role, preferably in a café or food service environment.
- Basic knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and espresso machine operation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a friendly and positive attitude.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous barista experience, including latte art skills.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Food Handler's Permit or willingness to obtain one upon hire.
