Key Responsibilities

  • Provide person-centred care and support tailored to individual needs and care plans.
  • Assist service users with daily living activities, including personal care, medication administration (following training), meal preparation, and household tasks.
  • Support individuals in accessing community activities, appointments, and social engagements to promote independence and social inclusion.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including daily notes, incident reports, and care plan reviews.
  • Communicate effectively with service users, their families, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Promote choice, dignity, and respect at all times, upholding the rights of the individuals you support.
  • Assist with mobility and hoisting using appropriate equipment, ensuring safety and comfort.
  • Adhere strictly to health and safety regulations, company policies, and CQC standards.
  • Act as a positive role model, encouraging individuals to develop new skills and achieve their personal goals.
  • Report any concerns regarding safeguarding or well-being promptly and appropriately.

Preferred Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care, or equivalent qualification.
  • Previous experience working as a Support Worker or in a similar care role.
  • Full UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle (desirable due to client locations).
  • Experience with complex care needs or specific conditions (e.g., autism, dementia).
  • Up-to-date mandatory care training certificates (e.g., Moving & Handling, First Aid).
