Key Responsibilities
- Hand-picking a variety of fruits (e.g., strawberries, blueberries, raspberries) according to specific ripeness and size criteria.
- Carefully placing picked fruit into designated containers or crates to prevent damage and maintain quality.
- Monitoring fruit quality during picking, identifying and separating damaged or unsuitable produce.
- Transporting full containers of fruit to collection points within the field.
- Following all farm health and safety guidelines and procedures.
- Working efficiently and effectively to meet daily picking targets.
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area in the fields.
- Collaborating with team members to ensure a smooth and productive harvest.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
- Physical stamina and ability to stand, bend, and lift up to 20 lbs (9 kg).
- Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions (sun, heat, light rain).
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Attention to detail for quality control.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team environment.
