Career.zycto is seeking dedicated and reliable Multi-Drop Delivery Drivers to join our dynamic team in Pendlebury, Manchester. As a crucial member of our logistics network, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of various packages to residential and commercial customers across designated routes. You will start your day at our Pendlebury depot, loading your vehicle with pre-sorted packages, and then navigate through local areas, making multiple stops throughout your shift. Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently operate a company vehicle to deliver packages on pre-planned multi-drop routes.
- Perform pre-shift vehicle checks, ensuring the vehicle is roadworthy and complies with all safety standards.
- Accurately load and unload packages, ensuring proper handling and securing of items to prevent damage.
- Utilize handheld scanners and route optimization software for accurate delivery tracking and proof of delivery.
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, interacting courteously and professionally with recipients.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations.
- Report any delivery issues, vehicle malfunctions, or customer feedback promptly to the depot.
- Manage delivery manifests, ensure all documentation is correctly completed, and reconcile deliveries at the end of the shift.
- Maintain cleanliness and general upkeep of the company vehicle.
Required Skills
- Valid UK Driving License (Category B) with no more than 6 penalty points.
- Proven experience in multi-drop delivery driving (minimum 12 months).
- Excellent knowledge of local Manchester road networks and surrounding areas.
- Strong navigational skills and ability to use GPS/mapping software effectively.
- Ability to lift and carry packages of varying weights and sizes (up to 25kg).
- Exceptional time management and organizational skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and a strong work ethic.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience working with logistics software or delivery apps.
- First Aid certification.
- Experience with different vehicle types (e.g., Long Wheelbase vans).
- A positive attitude and a proactive approach to challenges.
- Familiarity with Health & Safety regulations related to driving and manual handling.
