Job Description
Join a critical team dedicated to safeguarding our nation’s borders as a Border Patrol Agent. This challenging yet profoundly rewarding full-time position places you at the forefront of national security, demanding unwavering vigilance, keen judgment, and a strong commitment to service. As a Border Patrol Agent, you will be responsible for detecting and preventing the illegal entry of aliens into the United States, interdicting smugglers of aliens and contraband, and enforcing immigration laws. This role requires exceptional physical stamina, mental fortitude, and the ability to work effectively in diverse and often unpredictable environments, ranging from rugged terrain to urban settings.
Your day-to-day duties will encompass a broad spectrum of law enforcement activities. This includes patrolling land borders using various modes of transportation, such as vehicles, ATVs, horses, boats, and on foot. You will utilize advanced surveillance technology, track individuals and groups, conduct interviews, and process individuals in accordance with federal law. The work demands quick decision-making under pressure, excellent communication skills to interact with the public and fellow agents, and a steadfast adherence to legal and ethical standards. Key Responsibilities
- Patrol U.S. borders and coastal regions to detect and prevent the illegal entry of individuals and contraband.
- Respond to sensor activations, citizen calls, and other intelligence sources to interdict illegal activity.
- Conduct vehicle stops, searches, and interviews to identify and apprehend individuals in violation of immigration laws.
- Utilize various modes of transportation, including vehicles, ATVs, horses, boats, and foot patrols, in diverse terrains and weather conditions.
- Operate and maintain specialized equipment, including firearms, night vision devices, and communication systems.
- Collect and process evidence, complete detailed reports, and maintain accurate records of incidents and activities.
- Provide testimony in court or administrative proceedings as required.
- Collaborate with federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies to achieve mission objectives.
- Participate in ongoing training and physical fitness programs to maintain readiness and proficiency.
Required Skills
- U.S. Citizenship
- Valid Driver's License
- Must be able to pass a rigorous background investigation, polygraph examination, and drug test.
- Must be able to pass a physical fitness test and medical examination.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Preferred Qualifications
