Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently load and unload goods from delivery vehicles.
- Adhere to assigned delivery routes and schedules, ensuring timely deliveries.
- Operate delivery vehicles safely and responsibly, observing all traffic laws.
- Conduct pre-and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any defects or issues.
- Interact professionally and courteously with customers during deliveries.
- Verify delivery contents against shipping documents and obtain signatures.
- Handle cash or process electronic payments accurately (if applicable).
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the delivery vehicle.
- Assist with warehouse duties, including sorting and packing, when required.
- Report any delivery discrepancies, delays, or incidents promptly to supervision.
Required Skills
- Valid UK driving license (Category B).
- Ability to lift and move heavy packages (up to 25kg).
- Strong spatial awareness and navigation skills.
