Career.zycto is actively seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to join our bustling logistics team in Downtown, Dover. This full-time position is crucial to the smooth operation of our supply chain, ensuring that all incoming and outgoing shipments are processed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and process all outgoing shipments, including picking, packing, labeling, and generating shipping documents (e.g., bills of lading, waybills).
- Receive and inspect incoming shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders and packing lists for accuracy and condition.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently (certification preferred).
- Maintain accurate inventory records by performing regular cycle counts and assisting with physical inventory reconciliation.
- Coordinate with freight carriers, couriers, and internal departments to schedule pickups and deliveries.
- Resolve shipping discrepancies, damages, or delays by liaising with relevant parties and documenting issues.
- Organize and maintain a clean, safe, and efficient shipping and receiving area.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, safety regulations, and shipping procedures.
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) or other relevant software for tracking and documentation.
- Assist with other general warehouse duties as needed to support overall operations.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Minimum of 6 months of experience in a shipping, receiving, or warehouse environment.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).
- Ability to lift and move packages weighing up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Forklift certification or experience operating material handling equipment.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems (WMS).
