Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough client consultations to understand their vision, provide expert advice, and develop custom tattoo designs.
- Execute high-quality tattoo artistry across various styles, ensuring precision, detail, and client satisfaction.
- Maintain a sterile and organized workstation, strictly adhering to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations (OSHA, local health department).
- Educate clients on proper aftercare procedures and provide clear instructions to ensure optimal healing and tattoo longevity.
- Manage personal schedule and appointments efficiently, communicating proactively with clients and studio management.
- Stay updated on new tattooing techniques, equipment, and industry trends to continuously enhance skills and service offerings.
- Collaborate positively with other artists and studio staff to foster a respectful and creative work environment.
- Assist with general studio upkeep, including cleaning, organizing supplies, and maintaining equipment.
- Develop and maintain a strong professional portfolio and actively promote services through social media and other platforms.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a professional Tattoo Artist with a strong, diverse portfolio.
- Exceptional artistic ability and proficiency in multiple tattooing styles and techniques.
- In-depth knowledge of sterilization protocols, cross-contamination prevention, and bloodborne pathogen standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client consultations and collaboration.
- Strong attention to detail, precision, and artistic integrity.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and maintain a flexible schedule.
- Current BBP (Bloodborne Pathogen) certification and valid licensure in Missouri (or ability to obtain).
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of professional tattooing experience in a reputable studio.
- Specialization in one or more popular tattoo styles (e.g., realism, traditional, blackwork, Japanese).
- Established client base and strong social media presence showcasing your work.
- Experience with advanced tattooing equipment and digital design tools (e.g., Procreate, Photoshop).
- Additional artistic skills such as drawing, painting, or digital art.
