Your primary responsibility will be to observe, deter, report, and respond to various situations, ensuring the protection of property and persons. Key Responsibilities
- Patrol designated areas of the hospital, both interior and exterior, to ensure a safe and secure environment.
- Monitor surveillance cameras and alarm systems to detect and respond to suspicious activities or security breaches.
- Respond promptly to emergency calls, including medical emergencies, disturbances, and safety incidents.
- Provide clear and concise verbal de-escalation for individuals exhibiting disruptive behavior.
- Assist patients, visitors, and staff with directions, escorts, and general inquiries.
- Complete detailed incident reports and daily activity logs accurately and thoroughly.
- Enforce hospital policies and procedures to maintain order and prevent unauthorized access.
- Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency services as needed.
- Conduct safety inspections and identify potential hazards.
- Provide a visible deterrent to crime and unauthorized activities.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or GED
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to remain calm and professional in stressful or emergency situations
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail
- Basic computer proficiency for report writing and system monitoring
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
