Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently collect recyclable materials from residential and commercial routes as assigned.
- Operate collection equipment in a safe and responsible manner, adhering to all company and traffic regulations.
- Sort and separate materials as needed at the collection point or designated facility.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of collection vehicles and equipment, reporting any mechanical issues promptly.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including the collection vehicle and immediate work area.
- Interact professionally and courteously with the public, addressing inquiries or concerns respectfully.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Lift, load, and unload materials weighing up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding route status, issues, and completion.
- Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed, always seeking to improve efficiency and service.
