Job Description

Career.zycto is seeking an experienced and meticulous Construction Scheduler to join our thriving team in Downtown, Liberty. This pivotal role will be instrumental in the planning, coordination, and execution of our diverse portfolio of construction projects, ranging from large-scale commercial buildings to intricate infrastructure developments. As a Construction Scheduler, you will be the backbone of our project timelines, ensuring that all phases of construction are meticulously planned, resourced, and tracked to achieve optimal efficiency and meet critical deadlines. You will collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, superintendents, and subcontractors to develop, maintain, and analyze comprehensive project schedules.

Your expertise will be vital in identifying potential scheduling conflicts, resource bottlenecks, and critical path risks, proactively proposing solutions to keep projects on track and within budget. This role demands a strong understanding of construction methodologies, an analytical mindset, and exceptional communication skills to articulate complex scheduling information clearly to various stakeholders. You will utilize industry-leading scheduling software to create detailed Gantt charts, resource histograms, and progress reports, providing essential insights for informed decision-making. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and update detailed project schedules for all phases of construction using Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
  • Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information for schedule development and updates.
  • Monitor project progress against the baseline schedule, identify deviations, and analyze their impact on project completion.
  • Prepare and present regular schedule reports, including critical path analysis, look-ahead schedules, and earned value analysis.
  • Identify potential scheduling risks, conflicts, and resource constraints, and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Facilitate scheduling meetings, fostering effective communication and coordination among project teams and subcontractors.
  • Perform 'what-if' scenarios to assess the impact of changes or delays and recommend alternative courses of action.
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications, contractual requirements, and company standards related to scheduling.
  • Assist in the development of recovery schedules when projects fall behind established timelines.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of scheduling processes and best practices within the organization.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in construction scheduling.
  • Strong understanding of construction methodologies, sequences, and logistics.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and manage complex project schedules.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder collaboration.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent.
  • Experience with various project delivery methods (e.g., Design-Build, CM at Risk).
  • Familiarity with Lean Construction principles.
  • Experience in infrastructure and commercial building projects.
